How to be hyper-productive in 2025
Read Time: 5 min
I bet you know already that New Year's resolutions don't work.
You set vague milestones or achievements for the next 12 months every year.
Then, every December, you're disappointed that you didn't achieve all or none of these goals.
I followed this pointless New Year's resolutions tradition for years, not getting anywhere.
Then, I found a method that helped me achieve more in 12 weeks than most productive people in 12 months.
I have used this new method for the past four years, and I have achieved 87% of the goals that I have set for myself since then.
I built companies, teams, and products during that time.
I learned languages, and added many new skills to my belt using this method.
And all that while chilling at tropical beaches and living in fancy places worldwide.
Even better, I did all this on a smaller budget than most of you spend every month.
So money isn’t the problem when it comes to living a dream life.
No more excuses!
I want to share my Simple Hyper-productivity System with you.
Steal it and achieve more in 12 weeks than everyone around you in 12 months.

1. Create your 3-year vision
The first step is always to know where you want to go.
You can't take action towards something that you don't know.
The solution is to create visions for our future.
Write down a detailed vision of your life in 3 years.
I have collected my best practices for writing great visions here.
When you create your vision, make it big but still believable for yourself.
The vision should make you feel a bit uncomfortable.
It is too small if you don't feel a bit uncomfortable when thinking about it.
You can do better!
A good measure for the size of a vision is when others put it off as dreaming.
Just because someone else cannot see how to make your vision a reality does not make it unrealistic.
When you're dreaming, you hit the right size for your vision.
2. Create your 1-year vision
Everyone asks what my life will look like in 5 or 10 years.
5 to 10 years is too far away to make any predictions.
Just as setting vague intentions for the next 12 months is too far away to really work on them.
The world constantly changes.
And in 5-10 years, the world will be fundamentally different.
Just think how much it changed in the past 15 years with the invention of smartphones.
And now AI enters our lives more and more.
If you give yourself 10 years to achieve your dreams, you may start working on your dreams in 5 years.
The further away a goal's deadline, the less likely you will take action towards that goal.
That's the whole problem with New Year's resolutions.
We need cycles that reflect the pace we want to go.
I recommend creating no vision further away than 3 years.
Then, you can support that vision with a second 1-year vision.
Having this second 1-year vision anchors your 3-year vision even more in reality.
A lot can happen in one year, so you still can dream big.
Write down a detailed vision of your life in 1 year.
3. Create your 3-month vision
Three months from now is a sweet spot for meaningful change.
It isn't too far into the future for us to postpone action.
And it is enough time to implement meaningful changes in your life.
Just as the 1-year vision anchors the 3-year vision, the 3-month vision anchors the 1-year vision.
If your life doesn't change much in the next three months, how can you expect it to change in a year?
Write down a detailed vision of your life in 3 months.
This is the last vision, I promise.
4. List the actions you will take
Next, list all the actions you need to take to make your 3-month vision a reality.
Spot the differences between your life right now and your life in 3 months.
Then, write down the actions you need to take to bridge these differences.
Your list doesn't need to be fancy; it can be as simple as a Google sheet or a piece of paper.
I attached a tutorial on how to write great action and task descriptions here.
5. Plan the coming weeks
This step is super easy.
Assign each action on your list to one of the coming 12 weeks.
For most people, 3 hours of focused work per week is enough to make their goals a reality.
How much time do you take to make your dream life happen each week?
If you assign more actions to a week than fit into 3 hours of focus work, adjust.
If you have too many actions for 3 months, adjust your 3-month vision accordingly.
Learning how much you can manage in 3 months will take some time.
You will get more done in less time using this method.
And you will make better time estimations for achieving your goals the more you do it.
I encourage you to write out all this planning in detail.
You're more likely to execute a written plan than one only kept in mind.
6. Do the work
Changing your life and making your dreams a reality means taking action.
For the next 12 weeks, you will sit down each week and complete the tasks that you assigned in your plan for that week.
If you complete 85% of your actions every 3 months, you will likely achieve your visions quickly.
Don't think about the previous or the following week when you're working on the actions on your list.
Focus entirely on the action in front of you.
If you notice you put too much into a week, adjust your plan and move actions around.
Remember, you don't need to achieve a perfect 100% completion rate.
The most important thing is that you take consistent action every week.
No more last-minute crunches.
7. Rinse and repeat.
Now, we took action for 12 weeks.
But a quarter has 13 weeks.
So, in this last week of your 3 month vision, you review, celebrate, and plan.
First, you review your action list, what you managed to work off and what is still open.
Are you living your 3-month vision already?
Either way, you learned something new this quarter.
Maybe you put too many actions into the past 3 months, then assign fewer tasks in the next 3 months.
Or you could have done a lot more; then, you can put more onto your plate in the next cycle.
With these learnings, you adjust your 3-year vision.
This will then adjust your 1-year vision.
And this leads to a new 3-month vision.
When you have your new visions, you plan your actions to make your new 3-month vision a reality.
Just like you did before.
Take this 13th week also to celebrate and rest.
You have taken consistent action for 12 weeks now.
Take a breather and appreciate all that you achieved in this short time.
The following week, you start fresh, executing your new plan for the coming 12 weeks.
